Voters in Kennewick are passing a $125M bond after the first set of results released by the Benton Co. Auditor.

62% of the roughly 15,000 balots counted Tuesday night were in support of the measure that would replace Kennewick High School and add classrooms and facilities to both Kamiakin and Southridge Highs.

The 20-year bond would increase the property tax $.30 for every $1,000 Of assessed value.

The vote totals are from ballots collected by 5pm Saturday and an estimated 2,000 are left to count. Updated results will be released 4pm Wednesday.
