A 13-year old student was arrested for making an alleged shooting threat at a local school.

Kennewick Police received information Monday evening about a possible threat of a school shooting at Desert Hills Middle school.

Officers identified the alleged threats were made by a 13-year-old male student who attended the school.

The boy was contacted at home before school started and was taken into custody.

The suspect was booked at the Juvenile Justice Center and was emergency expelled.
