(Kennewick, WA) -- Benton County officially has a new sheriff. Tom Croskrey was sworn-in Monday at the Justice Center. The event was attended by dignitaries from all over the Tri-Cities, with police from Pasco, Kennewick and other agencies in attendance. This marks the end of a saga for the Sheriff's Office that began when a recall vote to oust former Sheriff Jerry Hatcher drew more than 75% of voters in the affirmative back in August. Croskrey told reporters that there's going to be a change in tone, especially when it comes to employees. He said"They're now going to be treated well, as humans and employees with respect and dignity."
