A record number of drivers are expected to travel over the next two holiday weekends, up about 1.5%. Which means about 93-million Americans will be on the roads for the holidays, according to AAA.

Jennifer Cook with AAA says they are expected thousands of calls.

"Just in the state of Washington and northern Idaho, AAA Washington expects to rescue 13,800 people over the two holiday weekends," says Cook.

Cook say they are encouraging drivers to check car tires, the battery and make sure to have a winter survival kit in case you do run into trouble while heading to Grandma's house or wherever they may be headed.
