American Flag over Blue Bridge removed because of wind damage

The Washington Department of Transportation removed the American Flag from the Blue Bridge Wednesday after the flag and part of the pole it was on were damaged by recent winds.

American Legion Post 34 hopes to raise money to replace the flag, and to purchase a couple of back-up flag as well.

Each 30' x 50' flag costs about $500.00.

The post also hosts a meeting Thursday at 7:00pm to discuss the fundraising efforts.
