Another possible leak detected under Hanford waste tank

RICHLAND, Wash.-Another waste tank at Hanford is likely leaking.

The Energy Department reports soil samples taken beneath Tank B-109 indicate a leak, despite being previously emptied of all the "pumpable" liquids and leaving behind a small amount of waste.

The DOE states there is no increased risk at the Site and that mitigation practices have been in place for a few years at that tank.
