Even being two months ahead of ourselves in the weather department, only a few spots in Eastern Washington have hit record temperatures.

Dennis Hull with the National Weather service in Pendleton says Walla Walla hit a record Tuesday at 80 degrees but the Tri-Cities has not beat the records set years ago.

"In Kennewick the record high today is 90, and we aren't quite expecting that and yesterday it was 91, so we were 5 to 6 degrees off in Kennewick," says Hull.

That doesn't mean the community isn't enjoying the weather, mom Jamie Wilson from Kennewick, took her son to Columbia Park Wednesday.

"It is shocking, you have to bring out all the shorts early, but it is much better than the cold," says Wilson.

She says her son has already asked to get out the swimming pool.

Unfortunately, Hull says the warm weather will only last this weekend, then the temperatures are forecasted to be back to be in the 60's to 70's.
