(Pasco, WA) -- The City of Pasco proudly hosted the Grand Opening of its new Peanuts Park and Farmers Market on Friday. The new community space off 4th Ave and Columbia Street features complete replacement of the original 1970s era concrete, a new artistic middle canopy, food truck spots, new bathrooms, two spaces for public art, and electricity hookups for events.

The update was a roughly six million dollar investment, was funded through multiple sources including federal grants, state appropriations, and the city's General Fund. It's part of $30 million wrapped up in down town projects--the other being the Lewis Street Overpass.
