Congressman Dan Newhouse Pushes for Investigation into Origins of COVID-19

WASHINGTON D.C- Did the coronavirus leak from a viral lab in Wuhan, China? Nobody really knows, but Congressman Dan Newhouse is pushing for an investigation.

He said, "This has obviously cost the American economy tremendously, and over half a million american lives. This is just an effort to get to the bottom of what actually happened."

He hopes that if they figure out how it happened, it can be prevented from happening again in the future.

"I think it's valuable information - not to punish the Chinese - but this is something we need to to know so scientists around the world can be safe in the important work that they do. That's why it's so important that why we understand fully what happened."

He wants answers to questions like, "When was the National Institute of Health first aware that coronavirus experiments were being conducted with taxpayer funds?" and "Was the NIH briefed about the potential pandemic risk of WIV’s research?"
