Emergency Management officials in Walla Walla County and Washington state are asking residents and business owners impacted by the recent floods to report the damage to your property.

Agencies are compiling damage estimates for the purpose of requesting assistance from FEMA and the Small Business Administration.

If significant damage is documented, assistance in the form of monetary grants and low interest loans may be made available to those affected by the floods.

Before the level of assistance can be determined, local agencies need to provide an accurate estimate of the damage, so they're asking those affected to report damage as soon as possible:

  • If your primary residence was affected, to include the loss or damage of personal effects
  • If your manufactured home or trailer was damaged
  • If your business was affected, including loss of business and/or damage
  • If your residence is isolated because of a loss of road access

The number to call to make the report for Walla Walla County only, is 509-524-2913.

The line is staffed from 9am to 5pm daily.

Umatilla County residents can fill out a form online.
