Four people are in custody following a high speed chase on State Route 12 from Walla Walla toward the Tri-Cities that started about 10:30 Wednesday morning.

Trooper Chris Thorson with the Washington State Patrol told KEPR-TV that 911 dispatchers started getting calls about an erratic driver, but the driver refused to pull over for officers.

"Eventually, just east of Burbank, our troopers and a Walla Walla deputy deployed spike strips. The car hit the spike strips, and they only traveled about a mile longer and then eventually pulled over."

Thorson says the chase went for about 25 miles.

The driver was arrested and is expected to face charges for felony eluding. Three passengers were also detained for questioning, though it's not known whether they'll face any charges.
