It is the first day of the Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo and if you want to avoid driving and finding a parking spot, there is several other transportation options.

For the first year, Uber has a drop-off and pick-up locations near the fair exit. David Williams with the company says they will also be giving free rides to first-time users up to $15.00 if you use the code BFFAIR17 in the app.

"Hopefully it helps reduce some congestion and and make it easier for people who want to go, but not drive to the fair," says Williams.

Those in Kennewick and Richland can "hail" an Uber from their home and be brought back by the service. In Pasco, Uber can only drop you off, but can not pick up passengers due to the city council not yet approving a change in the city ordinance.

Ben-Franklin Transit is offering deals for the community as well. The Fair/Bus combo ticket provides a round-trip ride plus fair admission. Tickets range in price with Adults at $14, Seniors $7, Kids 6-12 $7 and Kids 5 and under are free.

Shuttles run from 9-11:30 p.m. to several locations in Richland, Pasco, and Kennewick. You can buy those tickets at several local places or just take the bus without fair admission for $1.50 per person or $4 for a family of five, each way. More information is located on the Ben-Franklin Transit website.

If you plan to drive yourself, parking for the fair is $10 (daily) or $40 (for the full week).
