Hispanic students achieving their goals in Tri-Cities

The Hispanic Academic Achievers program will award a record number of certificates to students in the Tri-Cities. Some 5,600 students maintained a 3.0 grade point average for the school year.

HAAP president Gabriel Suarez says former top scholar Jessica Infante-Castro is good example of how the program is working to get students to college.

Jessica is a graduate from Columbia Basin College and got a masters degree from PLU.
