Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland welcomed more than 2,830 babies into the world during 2018, and they tracked the most popular names for newborns.

Girls:

2. Sofia/Sophia- 19
3. Camila- 13
4. Evelyn- 13
5. Amelia- 12
6. Emily- 12
7. Harper- 10
8. Isabella- 10
9. Audrey- 9

Ava, Avery, Grace, Mila, Natalie, Peyton, and Victoria each tied with 8.

Boys:

1. Liam- 20
2. Daniel- 16
3. Alexander- 15
4. Isaac- 12
5. Jose- 12
6. Julian- 12
7. Samuel- 12
8. Anthony- 10
9. Jackson- 10
10. Logan- 10
11. Noah- 10
12. Sebastian- 10

Aaron, Adrian, Aiden, Benjamin, Colton, Elijah, Emilio, Luke, and Owen tied with 9.

The folks at Kadlec looked through their archives and compiled a list of the most popular baby names from 20 years ago.

In 1998, the top girl names were Emma/Emily, Madison, Alexis/Alexa, and Kaitlyn. For boys, the top names in 1998 were Andrew, Jacob, Ethan, and Joshua.

The numbers of births performed at Kadlec grew significantly over the past 20 years, with 1,148 deliveries in 1998, compared to 2,385 in 2018.
