Kennewick Accident

Kennewick Police say it appears a driver of a car eastbound at 4th avenue was blinded by the sun, failed to stop for a red light and another car, heading north on Edison Street.

As a result, KPD says one of the cars slid into the traffic light control box and knocked it off base...the signals were down from a couple hours.


One driver has been taken to the hospital, their injuries are unknown...the offending driver has been cited for failing to obey a traffic control device.
