Kennewick Police Chief Ken Hohenberg swore in the department's newest officer and two cadet officers on Monday at City Hall.

Finley's Cody Albertin graduated from Kennewick High School in 2014 and went on to graduate from Seattle University with a degree in Criminal Justice.  Albertin, a father of a two-month old baby said, "It's a busy time in my life, but I love it, and wouldn't be anywhere else.  I'll work in the office till February, and go out to the academy in Spokane, and come back."  He added that he's looking forward to, "Getting out there and making a change on my own, and impact other people's lives is what it's about."

Payton Hannah is from Puyallup, graduating from Emerald Ridge High School.  He has family in law enforcement and is excited to be in the Tri-Cities and working for the Kennewick Police Department.

Nicholas Cavazos graduated from Delta High School in June, 2019, and is currently attending Columbia Basin College, working on his Associate's Degree.  He aspires to become a Kennewick Police Officer in the future.

Police Chief Ken Hohenberg said, "Today is a celebration as we bring new people into the department.  We're really looking for the best of the best."
