Kennewick School District has scheduled two informational meetings for later this month to provide voters with information about February's school bond.

If passed, the $125 million bond would fund several remodel and school replacement projects:

  • replace Kennewick High
  • add classrooms and improve athletic facilities at Kamiakin and Southridge High Schools
  • replace Amistad Elementary
  • replace or remodel Ridge View Elementary
  • build a new elementary school

Meetings are scheduled at 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 10 and 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 16 at the Administration Center at 1000 W. 4th Avenue, Kennewick.

Superintendent Dave Bond will present information about the bond projects, tax rates and changes to school funding. He will also be available to answer questions.

More information about the bond is available at www.ksd.org/bond. Ballots will be mailed to voters on January 23, and ballots need to be turned or postmarked by February 12.
