TRI-CITIES, Wash. - The Benton-Franklin Health District has issued new guidance to schools regarding the time students should be in quarantine, if they are identified as being a COVID-19 close contact.

Citing evidence that supports schools NOT being the primary source of Coronavirus transmission, the BFHD now says a student should quarantine for 10 days without testing, instead of 14, or seven days after a negative test, if they are in close contact with someone who tested positive.
