MacTavish finds new job, saving RSD money

The embattled former deputy Superintendent of Richland schools has a new job, saving the district some money.

Nicole MacTavish, who was slated to succeed the retiring Superintendent Rick Schulte, landed an administrative position with the Reynolds School District, which includes East Portland, North Gresham and Troutdale, Oregon.

Depending on her new salary, the Richland School District could save as much as $350,000 per her contract buyout agreement.

Supt. Schulte has agreed to stay one one more year with the RSD, while the renews its search for his successor.
