A Weston man was arrested Saturday after leading police on a high speed chase.

According to Milton-Freewater Police, officers tried to pull over a sedan for speeding on Lamb Street shortly after 3pm, but the driver refused to pull over.

After leading officers through town, the driver stopped on Sixth Avenue, then ran away on foot.

Officers took chase, using a taser to stop the suspect and taken him into custody.

Jesse P. Jackson, 32, is being held in the Umatilla County Jail on a long list of charges, including reckless driving, felony eluding, reckless endangering, meth possession, tampering with evidence, interfering with a police officer, and violating probation.

He's being held on $80,000 bond.
