Original Story 02/02/19: One person has died, and one person is on the run, following a multi-car collision on I-182 Saturday night in Pasco.

Washington State Patrol says a maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee was headed Eastbound when it was hit by a Chrysler Sebring.

The impact forced the Cherokee to drive across the median where it then collided with oncoming traffic in the Westbound lanes between Broadmoor Boulevard and Road 68.

Troopers say there were 5 Westbound vehicles that struck the Cherokee, with several rolling onto their tops as they either crashed into other vehicles or tried to avoid the pile-up.

The driver of the Cherokee, Kimberly Youngblood, 44, Benton City, died at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Sebring fled the scene, and has not been identified.

Two other drivers and one passenger among the five other vehicles involved in the accident were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The accident closed down all but one lane of traffic in the Westbound lanes for more than 5 hours while troopers investigated the accident and cleared the scene.

Five of the vehicles involved, including the Sebring, were totaled in the wreck. Two other vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.

Anyone with information about the drive who fled the scene is asked to contact Washington State Patrol or Crime Stoppers.
