One Hurt After Violent Crash on Westbound 240

(Richland, WA) -- One was hurt and part of the 240 Freeway were blocked Wednesday morning after a violent crash involving two cars. Washington State Patrol says this happened around 10:00am after an SUV merging onto the Freeway on the Westbound side, slams into another vehicle already in the main lanes. The crash, which authorities say caused severe damage, sent the merging vehicle across the median and through the eastbound lanes of the freeway. The vehicle coming to rest on the eastbound curb. The injured party was taken Kadlec, though it was said to be precautionary. Right now state patrol says this appears to be a case of failure to yield.
