Matt Marshall of Eatonville filed a petition to recall Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson.

That petition was received today [Monday] by the Secretary of State's office.

"The charges are malfeasance, misfeasance and violation of his Oath of Office, basically saying he is criminally failed to execute his duties of office and failed uphold the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Washington", Marshall noted during an interview on 610 KONA's "The Bottom Line".

Marshall and his supporters now must collect about 750,000 signatures to qualify the issue for the ballot.

Marshall, a member of a Constitutionalist group "Washington 3%", says the petition came from a previous and failed effort to criminally charge the A-G following the fight over I-1639 in 2018, a measure that voters passed altering the definition of a "semiautomatic weapon".
