Pig, chickens killed in coop fire
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash.-- Fire caused extensive damage to a chicken coop in Franklin County Friday morning.
According to officials with Franklin County Fire District 3, crews responded to the area of Kepps Road, northeast of Pasco, when a passer-by reported seeing something on fire.
Crews arrived to find the fire mostly extinguished, but the remained on the scene mopping up the fire.
One pig and several chickens were lost in the blaze, however several pigs managed to escape.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
