Police looking for man suspected of trying to lure Chinook Middle School student

We're learning more about the investigation in a suspected luring incident that happened earlier this week in Kennewick.

According to a report from the Kennewick Police Department, a 12-year old girl reported that a man drove up to her in a dark grey, 4-door sedan on Monday, April 15th.

The girl told police that the man called out, "Hey, I know your grandma. I`ll take you to her."

The victim ignored the man and walked away.

She described the man as being in his late thirties or early forties, with buzzed black hair and no facial hair.

He was driving an older 4-door sedan, possibly a dark grey Honda.

School officials posted information about the incident on their facebook page Wednesday, reminding parents to use the situation as an opportunity to talk to children about stranger dangers.
