Two people died when a wrong-way driver caused a head-on crash on I-84 in Oregon Sunday morning.

Oregon State Police say the accident happened at about 5:44am on Sunday, September 15, 2019, when a Toyota Camry driven by Josue Amando Lopez-Munoz, 29, Prosser, was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-84 in Gilliam County.

The Camry collided head-on with a PT Cruiser, driven by Anita Dugger, 33, of Salem, OR.

Dugger and Lopez-Muzon were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say a 13-year old boy who was a passenger in the PT Cruiser was taken by air ambulance to The Dalles and later by ground to OHSU in Portland. His condition is not known.
