Richland PD responds to COVID-19 by not responding to some calls

(Richland, Wash.) he Richland Police Department announced over social media Tuesday night that, effective immediately, officers will not respond in person for certain reports.

Out of abundance of caution, to keep the officers safe and cut down on the spread of the COVID-19 virus, reports that do not need a police presence will be taken over the phone. Officers WILL respond in the cases of protecting life and maintaining order in the city.
