Richland residents no longer need to register pets

The Richland City Council recently passed an ordinance ending the requirement to pay for a license for dogs and cats.

The city conducted a cost benefit analysis and determined that the cost of issuing and maintaining pet licenses wasn't worth the expense.

City ordinance still requires a limit of five pets per residence, and you're encouraged to keep dogs and cats up to date on vaccinations.
