Richland schools to provide free lunch for students

Richland School District plans to offer a free lunch to all students and their families on Saturday in response to five days of weather-related school closures.

"Many students rely on free and reduced-price meals provided by the district every school day," said Ty Beaver in a press release from the Richland School District. "Those meals were unavailable when schools were closed because of weather conditions."

The district is partnering with food services contractor Sodexo to serve lunch at Jefferson Elementary on Saturday, February 16, 2019, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Meals will be available until 1 p.m. or until all available meals are served.
