(Gus Koernig/Metro)-NFL star Michael Bennett is going to donate all his endorsement earnings to charity this year.

The Seattle Seahawks defensive end said in an Instagram post Thursday that his endorsement money will be directed to help rebuild minority communities through science, technology, engineering, arts, and math programs.  Bennett's money also will go to what he calls initiatives that directly affect women of color.

Fifty-percent of his jersey sales will help support inner-city garden projects.

Bennett also is challenging all professional athletes to donate part of their endorsement money to a cause.  Bennett said he was inspired by Chance the Rapper, who pledged a million dollars to Chicago Public Schools earlier this week.
