Smokey Bear plates offered in Oregon

Oregonians will soon be able to get license plates featuring the iconic Smokey Bear, just in time for his 75th birthday.

The plates are part of the Keep Oregon Green program, with proceeds from the sale of the plates going toward forest fire prevention efforts and to protect Oregon's scenic landscapes.

The new license plates will be available starting August 1, 2019.
