WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Walla Walla School District released a statement Thursday morning regarding their response to the COVID-19 outbreak. All School-sponsored out-of-district events have been suspended effective immediately.

In a press release, Superintendent Dr. Wade Smith said, “This decision came after careful consideration, including consultation with local health officials this morning." He added that the decision was not made lightly, but is necessary to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff, and community as we respond to this pandemic health crisis.

Walla Walla Public Schools remain in Stage 2 of their crisis response but are preparing for Stage 3 implementation.
