Boise-based WinCo Foods is recalling bags of frozen red raspberries because they may be contaminated with the Norovirus.

12-ounce bags of Frozen Red Raspberries from Rader Farms have the WinCo branding and were sold in Oregon, Washington, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah.

WinCo has removed the product from its shelves.

Norovirus is a highly contagious virus, with symptoms including acute onset of vomiting, watery, non-bloody diarrhea with abdominal cramps, and nausea. Systemic manifestations include, fever, myalgia and malaise, anorexia, and headache. Although most symptoms end within 48 hours, the elderly, young children and immunocompromised persons may develop prolonged, or more severe symptoms.

No customer illnesses have been reported to date.
