Wineries, tasting rooms targeted in weekend burglaries

The Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office is investigating a handful of recent burglaries that appear to target wineries and tasting rooms.

In each case, the thieves busted through glass doors and swiped cash from registers.

Deputies are encouraging businesses to lock up cash, or remove it from the premises altogether.
